We aim to create a fast, easy, and reliable way for individuals to receive the help they need by demystifying and destigmatizing the process. The current administrative burdens on enrollment exacerbate poverty and inequality by disadvantaging those with limited financial means, physical ability, time, systemic knowledge. Our efforts are driven by a shared vision of robust, equitable public benefits programs that build resilience and bolster people's well-being through better access to food, health care, housing, and other essential building blocks.
Our Founders' Story
As immigrants, Syed and his family benefited from the essential safety net programs like cash assistance and the school lunch program as they transitioned into life in the U.S.
As a physician, Syed partnered with social workers to help patients get Medicaid, housing, food, and pay their utility bills. As a Value-Based Healthcare researcher, Syed focused on understanding how the U.S. health insurance system works and how social determinants of health can, like food and housing, can shape health outcomes.
Kyler's father struggled with cancer for over seven years. Social services were integral to his father getting medical care since he was unable to work. As his primary caregiver, Kyler learned a valuable lesson about how important access to healthcare is.
With AIDE, Kyler and Syed see an opportunity to provide people the access they need for a better quality of life, which the U.S. often falls far short of."
